mid-air serenity.

flying over the vast oceans, leaves many stomachs in a knot.
not me tho. love being lost in space with jets at full force behind me burning away. stewardesses doing their thing. a drink of whiskey here, cup of coffee there. sweet desert here, a wink from the stewardess there.

then you get lost in incomplete sleep with your head bobbing all over the seat headrests. you wake admist the darkness to a plane full of bodies drooling. but random moments will always be highlights such as a light in the distant admist total darkness, it's a random girl reading with her single light on. makes you wanna take a pic. or a song on the SQ music vault that makes you smile. or also when the stewardess brings you more whiskey without asking :P

hahah. yea, then comes transit. tired people complaining without saying a word. their faces say it all. you talk to them and they give off an unfriendly grunt. pull out your laptop and the battery's dead. try to sit, but the butt cheeks are yelling in numbness. before you know it, the queue to re-board is longer than the plane's length itself.

the last phase is always a knock out for me. i always wake when we're about to land. just as the pilot nervously but assuring steadies the plane before making contact with the tarmac, i'd whisper instructions to him. almost like i'm grading him. and upon touchdown, i'd tell him what to do with the throttle.

only then i'd thank god for the blessedly safe journey.

before the stewardess can announce how not to yank out your cellphones, you'd hear ringtones and vibrations buzzing through the plane. and nothing surprising when everyone just stands up, ready to run out the door before it even opens. sheesh.

why don't no one enjoy every second of flight, like i do. ;)
